Over 90% of us don't get enough fibre.

The NHS recommends 30g a day. Most eat under 20g.

A low-fibre diet is linked to higher rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and early death. Most of the country isn't close to the target. One FIBAR gives you 11g of fibre. More than a third of the daily recommendation, in a single bar.

What fibre does.

  • Keeps you full

Fibre slows digestion and triggers the gut hormones that signal you've eaten. You stay full for longer.

    Cani 2009
  • Steadies blood sugar

Soluble fibre slows how fast sugar enters your bloodstream. Steady energy instead of a spike and a crash.

    EFSA 2014
  • Feeds your gut bacteria

Fibre is what your gut bacteria live on. The right fibre feeds the beneficial species that keep your gut, and the rest of you, working well.

    Nagy 2023
  • Lowers cholesterol

Soluble fibre binds cholesterol in the gut and carries it out of the body. Higher fibre intake is linked to lower total and LDL cholesterol.

    Liu 2017
  • Linked to living longer

The one that matters most. Across millions of people, those who eat the most fibre have lower rates of heart disease, cancer, and early death.

    Ramezani 2024
  • NHS daily target 30g
  • Average UK intake under 20g.
  • One FIBAR 11g

One FIBAR can help close the gap.

The most studied prebiotic fibre in the world.

Chicory root inulin is a natural prebiotic fibre extracted from the chicory plant. It makes up most of the 11g of fibre in every FIBAR. It is the most studied prebiotic fibre in the world, and the only one to earn an EU-authorised digestive health claim.

Based on 50+ randomised controlled trials across 2,495 participants. (Nagy 2023)

The benefits of chicory inulin.

  • Gut bacteria

Chicory inulin feeds the beneficial bacteria in your gut. A 2023 randomised trial found that 10g a day significantly increased Bifidobacteria.

    Jackson 2023
  • Digestion

Chicory inulin contributes to normal bowel function by increasing stool frequency.

    EFSA 2015
  • Blood sugar

Chicory-derived fibre reduces the rise in blood sugar after eating when it replaces sugar.

    EFSA 2014
  • Satiety

Chicory inulin triggers the gut hormones that regulate appetite and keep you full.

    Cani 2009
  • Bone

In trials, chicory inulin increased calcium absorption and bone mineral density.

    Abrams 2005
  • Heart

Inulin-type fibres have been shown to lower total and LDL cholesterol.

    Liu 2017

Fibre impacts how long you live.

Most nutrition science is noisy. Fibre is an exception. This isn't one study or one trial. It's a meta-analysis of 64 studies covering three and a half million people, and the finding holds: the people who eat the most fibre live longer. Fibre is one of the few nutrients where the argument is straightforward. People need more.

23% lower all-cause mortality

In the highest-fibre group versus the lowest. Ramezani 2024, meta-analysis of 64 studies, 3.5 million people.

A high-fibre diet is linked to lower rates of:

  • Coronary heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Colorectal cancer

(Reynolds 2019)

Each extra 8g of fibre a day lowers the risk further. More fibre means lower risk. (Reynolds 2019)

Most people fall short of 30g. But even if you hit your daily target on your own, the risk keeps falling as fibre intake climbs. One FIBAR adds 11g. Hitting the target matters, but beating it increases the benefits.

Fibre and protein work together.

Each one is well studied on its own. The part most snacks miss is what happens when fibre and protein arrive together.

  • The fullness lasts longer.
  • The blood sugar curve flattens further.
  • The effect is multiplied.

Couple that with clean ingredients instead of sweeteners and fillers, and the benefits are real, not just numbers on a label.

Most bars pick one. The protein bars skip the fibre. The fibre bars skip the protein. FIBAR has 11g of fibre and 10g of protein in the same bar, from real food.

In a controlled trial, fibre and protein together cut hunger more than either alone, and flattened the blood sugar response further than either could on its own. (Kim 2019)

The case for fibre is settled.

Eating enough of it is the hard part. One FIBAR closes more than a third of the gap, in a bar you'll want every day.
